Product Placement

From my real media artefacts research it is clear to see that there isn’t enough for the younger generation, therefore I feel it will be a good idea for our radio station “Radio Fresh” to obtain both young music and young presenters with quite casual dialogue, this will interest the young audience as they feel as if they can relate to the show and presenters, however, we will also have some parts for the older generation like oldies night every Thursday from 6-10 and Friday night meltdown where we will play a mix of old music and new tunes with dubstep and drum and bass remix’s, although this may not work I feel that it is worth a shot and hopefully will keep everyone happy.
From my primary research of my questionnaires I have come to a decision that 5 O’clock is the best time to have the news as it is prime time with the peak of listeners, by doing this it means that the news will be heard by the most people. The Genre’s of music I will be playing is Indie, Pop, Rock, Dubstep, Drum n Bass, RnB and old classics. By having this wide variation of different genres it means that my target market of listeners will increase as it should keep everybody happy.
As the majority of the listeners who will be tuning into our station will ever be working or at collage/school from 9 till 4 during that time I will have a slightly older presenter to take control and play some songs for the older generation, I feel that having old music in the day and young music at night is the best way to go as it suits their lifestyles.
