Ideas for Radio Fresh: Alex, Pat and Mike
The main part and spine of a Radio Station is obviously the presenter; nobody wants to be listening to the radio having to listen to a boring presenter. Our main presenter will be a male with an upbeat, happy voice and also he must be interesting to listen to. He should emphasise certain words when necessary to make it seem intriguing, such as little facts he could emphasise how many number 1s a singer has for example. But this doesn’t mean we should only have 1 presenter only, we can have another presenter if necessary who is female to make it more mixed gender and make sure there would be a bigger range of listeners, women could feel they relate more to the female and the men could relate more to the male.
For a jingle a techno sound will be played and then a male voice will say ’99.9 Radio Fresh’ this will be edited to make it seem slightly remixed and then a sound effect that sounds like smashed glass will play, this will be slightly loud to grasp the listeners attention but not seem too in your face and enthusiastic. The mains voice will be deep and exciting to make it seem catchy and modern.
For the news and weather, a woman will be presenting who seems upbeat and makes the news sound interesting, fast music with a good beat will be playing quietly playing in the background to attract attention of the audience so they know the news has come on, a jingle will be played to start it off that says ‘the news’ with the sound effects to introduce the different section. Vox pops will be used to make news stories seem more interesting so people’s opinions on the news are bought into it so you get different views from listeners and people involved in the stories.
Order of show:
A song will be played at the beginning of the clip, which quietly fades out at the end to show it’s a radio station and then merges into the loud attention grabbing jingle to finish the transition.
Then we speak about the song that was played quickly and random short facts so listeners can be interested, then its then goes on to the news. Another jingle is played to introduce the news and then the good beat starts playing, the presenter then introduces the news, the news beat is rather repetitive and seems rather stereotypical to news shows on the radio, at the end an ending jingle plays which finishes the transition and the actual Radio Fresh jingle is played to introduce the following section.

Chosen News Stories:
· The first scientist to talk to animals gets OBE for years of research.
· Bank gets broken into by 4 youths in masks after crashing into the window in a Nissan micra.
· Woman writes off mobility scooter after high velocity spin out.
· OAP gets arrested after selling back alley fireworks and narcotics to underage teens.
· Man fall in lake after saving his wife…a swan
· Jack Poston has long term injury on wrist and out of pool season due to his hand stuck in pocket of pool table.
